I have been a Social Worker and Family Therapist in the Niagara Region for over 20 years.  I am passionate about what I do and enjoy connecting with my clients so we can build a safe, therapeutic relationship.  I work with adults, adolescents, couples and families.  I have experience working with clients struggling with a number of issues:

  • Depression and Anxiety

  • Grief/Loss

  • Relationship Struggles

  • Life Stress / Work-Life Balance

  • Major life events

  • Self-esteem and Confidence

  • Anger Management

  • Blended Family Issues

  • Parenting

  • Sports Motivation/Performance

When working with clients I utilize a holistic approach that looks at identifying all the pieces of the puzzle. Everyone has different needs and struggles and I tailor my approach for each individual person. My therapeutic approach is trauma informed and draws mainly on the use of Mindfulness-based techniques, CBT, Narrative Therapy and Compassionate Inquiry.

Finding a way of living a more mindful life can help you build joy and contentment and will assist you in dealing with problems, old wounds, difficult emotions and negative thoughts and patterns.

If you are struggling with challenging behaviours or anxiety with your children I can help with that too.  Check out the Parenting Support tab to learn more about how this may help.

I live in St. Catharines with my husband, 2 teenagers and our awesome dog Arnie.  We all try to be mindful, practice gratitude and live by our family motto - Be Kinder Than Necessary.  We love to have dance parties in the kitchen, hang out with friends and family and watch Netflix.
